I use Artpro for doing all thart sort of thing. Its a great little program (which I really must register...) that will either expand/shrink it by percentage or allow you to input the pixel size manually. should be available on aminet or the cds somewhere. Its also good for view pictures on the fly when you dont have enough memory. The program itself uses very little memory, you can choose the amount of colours and display mode and it loads in all of 5 seconds! Hope this helps, Bifford the Youngest. ------------------------------ message 46036 ------------------------------ http://www.eGroups.com/list/afb/?start=46036 Date: Tue, 08 Feb 2000 00:56:06 -0800 From: "Nick Lamburn" In-Reply-To: <000101bf71c6$3df08760$78849fd4@no1> X-Mailing-List: afb@egroups.com Subject: [afb] Re: Platinum Suite 2000 (was POLL: Microsoft Office) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi Jonathan, > > > > 4 must haves: > > > > o multiple sheets > > > Will five at a time be enough? :) > > That`ll do me :-) Good :) > > > > o cell selection via the mouse whilst creating formulas > (formulae?) > > > > (e.g click and drag in an @sum)? > > > Possibility. > > It makes a hell of a difference to your productivity I'm doing it! :) > > > > o H Lookup and V Lookup formula implementation > > > Explain this better; i am confused. :) > > Oh god do I have to? I'm not sure if Power Computing's HD drive is half height or not. IIRC; the Power drives aren't actually half speed HD drives like Commodore's Chinnon drives; but standard PC HD floppy drives with buffering electonics so slow the flow of data to half speed which Paula can handle. IMHO =A365 is very expensive and you'd be well advised to place an advert on Amibench (http://www.amibench.org) looking for one; either the taller or smaller types. Note the former are easier to get hold of and much cheaper. I replaced my dead HD tall drive for =A312. :) Keep your eyes peeled; otherwise take up Power's offer. Have you also thought about a Catweazel Zorro? That's =A345 apx. and a HD PC drive is about =A35 from a lot of places! :) And it runs at full speed unlike the slower HD access via Power's buffered and the HAlf speed Chinnon drives. You either need an EPP one (e.g., IOBlix), Blittersoft's adapter thingie, or a DIY adapter (see http://ftp.uni-paderborn.de/aminet/dirs/aminet/hard/hack/ppazip.lha). Either of these options comes with the necessary drive software. The original message said that because of various things, I guess mainly because of a supplier not getting products to Ben in time for a review. That combined with Future's wanting to save costs is why AF is smaller, although the editorial content is said to be the same. [I say "said to be" because my AF hasn't come yet, probably won't for another week.] Since the shrinkage has resulted in an unbindable cover, it's now stapled. To cut costs further, the CD is [thankfully, in my opinion] no longer in a jewel case. ------------------------------ message 46083 ------------------------------ http://www.eGroups.com/list/afb/?start=46083 From: "Sean Courtney" Date: Tue, 8 Feb 2000 09:57:08 -0500 X-Mailing-List: afb@egroups.com Subject: [afb] Re: MIDI, amiga and Yamaha keyboard MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit >I want to make music on my Yamaha PSR-740 using my Amiga1200. Yes, but if you call it an 070, then exec's tags are going to have a sligtly strange value (come to think of it, I don't think you could actually put 070 in there, I think the PPC cards took up the last space) and any program that checks for a specific processor (eg. 060) isn't going to work. -- Rick Hodger - rick . thehub @ bigfoot . com Anti Spam Sig - Remove the spaces Don't use force; use a bigger hammer. ------------------------------ message 46134 ------------------------------ http://www.eGroups.com/list/afb/?start=46134 Date: Tue, 08 Feb 2000 18:09:27 +0000 From: Arran Smalley X-Mailing-List: afb@egroups.com Subject: [afb] rev 2b MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; x-mac-type="54455854"; x-mac-creator="4D4F5353" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hello all, There have been some threads calling it a Bad board so: What *exactly* are the errors on the Rev2b A1200's, I've been running one for, errr, more years than I care to remember with no major problems.
